What happens when artists are given just 20cm x 20cm to express an idea, emotion, memory or observation?

MICRO 20 x 20 is the sixth exhibition in our MICRO series, a concept that began at Gallery 3 in Byron Bay in 2024, challenging artists to explore just how much creativity can be contained within a small space.

Following the wonderful response to MICRO 10 x 10, this exhibition expands the scale while continuing the creative challenge. Artists are invited to explore stories, memories, observations and ideas within a 20cm x 20cm format — proving that size does not determine impact.

MICRO 20 x 20 celebrates the unexpected creativity that emerges from limitation, inviting audiences to slow down, look closely and discover the extraordinary within a small space.
